How to apply the Canyon?

The Canyon comes as a powder to be mixed with water.

1. Preparation of the Support

Make sure the surface is clean, dry and free of impurities. Apply a Fissacril fixative layer, diluted according to the type of support, to ensure a perfect grip. Wait 4-5 hours and apply your ‘PrimaVolare – PrimaInfinito’ grain hanging pellet

2. Canyon mixture

Mix the powder with 20 to 25% water using a mechanical stirrer, until a homogeneous paste without lumps is obtained. If you want to add any liquid pigments if you want to teat your coating.

3. Application of the coating

Apply Canyon in one or more layers depending on the desired thickness and effect, using suitable tools such as stainless steel spatulas, sponges, textured rollers and water sprays. The drying time of your coating will depend on the thickness of your finish: for example, a thickness of less than 3 cm, the texture creates may be decorated with a patina after 2-3 hours.

Attention for the creation of textures of more than 4-5 cm, it will be necessary to reinforce the coating either with catch points under the coating or with glass fibers.

4. Decoration and finishing

Once the texture is obtained and dry, you can customize the final appearance with decorative products such as Dorotea, Kymera Rust or Effectto Tamponato, for authentic and personalised rendering.

5. Protection

To ensure the durability of the coating, apply appropriate protection, such as Rain Protex or Fissacril, which will preserve the rocky effect of dust and wear and tear.
